School Announcements
Welcome to Springbrook!
Please feel free to watch our introduction to Springbrook School below.

Dear Springbrook Elementary School Parents:

I am asking you to take an important ten-minute online survey, called SurveyWorks, about our school. The Rhode Island Department of Education conducts this survey each year. It gives schools important feedback on these key areas for school success:

  • climate and safety
  • teaching and learning
  • family involvement
  • resources

Please watch for the notice with the link and access code to come home by January 6, 2012. If you have not received the notice by this date, please contact Mrs. Locke for the link and access code.

Also, all Rhode Island students in grades 4 are being asked to participate in an online survey at their school. There are no academic or physical tests involved in the survey and it will take a student about 20 to 25 minutes to complete. Your child’s participation in the survey is voluntary and anonymous; no names will be collected or reported. The survey is available for you to review at www.surveyworks.ride.ri.gov and in the school office. Opt out forms are available by contacting Mrs. Locke.

The survey will ask questions about:

• College and career readiness

• School climate

• Teacher expectations

• School support

• Family and community involvement

• Nutrition and physical activity

• Learning activities

• The condition of school buildings

• Access to resources

• School safety

• Bullying

• Tobacco, alcohol, and drug use

• Technology use

In Honor of
Martin Luther King, there will be no school on Monday, January 16, 2012.

The Supper Table
Every Monday from 5-6:30 pm, a hot, nutritious, complimentary supper is served for families at the Calabrese Club.
If you and your family find these tough economic times challenging, then come to the Supper Table on Monday night. Our chef prepared a wonderful meal which will be served to your family in a comfortable, dining environment. All are welcome.
The Mission of Springbrook School
is to provide a safe learning environment, fostering and encouraging each child to become a productive citizen, taking responsibility for self, others, and supporting community.
